Commonly said manganese plate is low alloy high strength structural steel, 16Mn(Q345) or 16Mn(Q345), this material is good welding, can be welded in a variety of methods.

Medium plate A steel plate usually with fingerboard thickness in the range of 4mm to 60mm.

16Mn was renamed Q345.

There are five grades of Q345: A, B, C, D and E.

16Mn(ⅰ, ⅱ, ⅲ) refers to 1, 2, 3 forgings respectively.

16MnR is the main material of general pressure vessels, R refers to steel for vessels, that is, steel plate material for pressure vessels.

The D in 16MnD is cryogenic steel.
